记得有一次，我所在公司给山东烟台的一家韩国企业做中、英文网站，由于网站内容比较少，很快就做完了，并移交给该企业。没想到第二天，我收到该企业韩国经理的一封邮件，说在网站的英文部分，所有韩国职员的姓名，都是用汉语拼音拼写的，而不是用韩语拼音拼写的，比如“金泽株”，汉语拼音是Jin Ze Zhu，韩语拼音则是Kim Taek Su。这位韩国经理认为我这种做法很不妥，实际上是把朝鲜民族看成了中国的附属民族，是一种linguacolonialism(语言殖民主义，笑)，他要求我立即改正过来。这件事之后，我对汉语圈国家的人名、地名，以及我国少数民族地区的人名、地名，都特别注意，避免再发生类似的问题。


我为什么要聊这个话题呢？这是因为昨天有一位西藏旅游网站的网管，用英文写了一篇网站简介，想请我修改一下，然后放到他的网站上。我看后，回复他说：确实有几处小错误，我都替您改过来了，不过，有一个原则性错误，我应当跟您讲一下。在您的译文中，所有西藏的地名，都是用汉语拼音拼写的，比如拉萨市内的八角街，您拼成Bajiao Street，而按照藏语拼音的拼法，应当是Bharkor Street，类似的地名还有：


①布达拉宫：Potala Palace


②大昭寺：Jokhang Temple


③罗布林卡：Norbulinka Monastery


④哲蚌寺：Drepung Monastery


⑤甘丹寺：Ganden Monastery


⑥色拉寺：Sera Monastery


看到这里，有些读者可能觉得我是在没事找事，其实这里面有很严重的政治问题。各位都知道，中国有一些民族分裂势力，比如藏独、疆独组织，一直攻击中国企图灭绝少数民族的历史文化遗产，包括用汉语代替少数民族语言。假如我们用汉语拼音来拼写少数民族地区的人名、地名，岂不是正好给这些民族分裂势力提供了一个口实吗？因此国家规定，拼写少数民族地区的人名、地名，如果该少数民族有自己的语言，则应当用少数民族语言的拼音拼写。上面提到的西藏旅游网站，恰好还是政府部门办的，因此更要注意这个问题。
